Toxic People

There are six types of toxic people. It’s important to realize we all resort to these toxic behaviors at times when we feel afraid or insecure. The point of this is not to point fingers and judge but to identify these behaviors, so we can start working on limiting them. See if you know any of them or if you ARE any of them:

  1. The Energy Drainer

    • These people will see the glass half empty.

    • They put you down for no reason.

    • They can’t be happy for you or other good fortunes.

    • They feed off of negativity.

    • They criticize and bully.

  2. The Narcissist

    • They only care about themselves.

    • They talk down to others to make themselves feel better.

    • They genuinely believe they are better than everyone around them.

    • They lack empathy.

  3. The Controller

    • They are always right to know it alls.

    • They don’t support you in your decisions.

    • They criticize every move you make.

    • They make you feel like you can do anything right.

    • They try to control everything around them.

    • They need to be in charge.

    • They never apologize.

  4. The Manipulator

    • They pretend to like you and everyone else.

    • They figure out what other people want and pretend to be those things.

    • They give fake compliments.

    • They are always looking for opportunities to benefit themselves.

    • They put you in uncomfortable positions.

  5. The Victim

    • They blame others for their misfortune.

    • They continuously seek attention to validate themselves.

    • They talk mostly about their excuses for failing.

    • They can’t seem to catch a break from life’s hardships.

  6. The Drama Queen

    • They feed off of gossip and drama.

    • They see the worst in people.

    • The show seems to follow them.

    • Lots of little white lies.
