Mastery

by Robert Greene

Mastery is an excellent book if you are looking to discover your calling. This book has the right tactics on finding your purpose and being able to tell what your real-life path should be vs. what may be expected of you from family, society, etc. once you figure out the perfect niche FOR YOU to occupy, then there will be three levels to it. Level one is an apprenticeship, the second level is creative-active, and the third is mastery. The book explains each level and brings examples of people who have reached the third level, mastery and goes into details of how they were able to do so. These examples are Leonardo da Vinci, Napoleon Bonaparte, Charles Darwin, Thomas Edison, and Martha Graham, among many others. This book also has my favorite social intelligence chapter that I think is very important to read and brings an example of Benjamin Franklin, an ideal favorite example of mine in the whole book.
